I can’t believe that there are more of Rain’s hardluck stories. I thought I heard it all, but I guess not.
During his interview with OBS Kyungin TV’s “Culture Wars Special,” Rain told us how hard his trainee days were. This time, it wasn’t about starving for days on end, but it was about encountering bullies. These mean spirited bullies not only beat him up, but they also took his jacket and shoes, forcing Little Rain to walk 10km from Itaewon to Shinchon with bare feet on a bitter cold winter day.
Poor kid! How traumatizing and painful that must’ve been! Although Rain’s fifth album deserves to be in the trash can, hearing stories like this makes me understand why Rain is perpetually obsessed with food, himself and success.
However, when will Rain realize that his hard days are now over and he actually needs to do something substantial to maintain his success. These hardluck stories can only earn him sympathy points and those points can get you only so far.

Oh, Rain. Why dwell on the past when your future looks (fairly…somewhat) bright?
yea, dude…get over it! his sob stories of yester-year are so played out. they worked when he was just starting out cuz..sh*t..even i felt sorry for him! but the guy is so rich now that no one’s gonna feel for him anymore!
Maybe Rain likes to keep these memories to remind himself of his humble beginnings. I think a LOT of entertainers forget about where they came from as soon as they hit is “BIG”. He knows about the hardships he had to go through to make it where he is now and I think talking about that kind of stuff just keeps himself grounded.
^ Or at least tries to show everyone that he keeps himself grounded. Whether or not he actually thinks that way is another story.
they said Rain is a superstar in korea but how come his new album is far behind in terms of sales??? people like him but they don’t buy his album???? hows that!!!!!!!
if Rain’s ninja assassin movie will flop, i don’t know what will happen to him really,,,i’m really positive his english in the movie will be horrible coz i’ve seen speed racer and his english interviews and i’ve got to tell you, i was cringing the whole time and it was unbearable….
i’m pretty sure rain’s english lines were cut short or kept to a minimal for the ninja assasin movie. if the producers were smart they would have just got someone to dub it for them. ahaha. aww, and i feel bad cause i’m a rain fan.

^Album sales in Korea hardly ever reflect the popularity of the artists.
As for the OBS interview, it’s true Rain’s hard-luck stories are getting old however I wonder if it’s due the MC’s always asking the same boring questions.
As for doing something to maintain his success…is it yeat confirmed that he’ll be doing a drama with Jun Ji-hyun? The two JJH’s together..that’s something more news-worthy.

well maybe he doesn’t have any other stories? other than that i agree to W.C… album sales don’t say anything about an entertainers popularity (well it does for strict music artists like epik high or sg wannabe). Rain has never been a musician in that sense, he’s allways been an idol/solo entertainer… which means he makes his money through tv appearances, concerts, commcericals, modeling deals, acting etc…
i’m seriously starding to think he is making up these stories
