I kind of think seeing Big Bang win the Artist of the Year award before them had something to do with it. Not that they expected to win, but I’m sure they wanted to, and it must have made them wonder moment if they could really keep up with them after being gone for so long. And then they get Album of the Year and the relief and exhaustion just took the guy over.

Changmin’s worry was quite understanding. He must see many stars lost their fame or faded out in the music industry because of leaving the country or going to millitary.

It doesn’t matter if they win or lose because either way BB and DBSK are still gonna try their best no matter what happens. If one wins then the other is gonna try harder. The group who wins is still going to try harder to surpass what they did this year.

One of the many reasons why I like DBSK so much, they don’t ever think that they’re good enough thus they’re never cocky. But Changmin should know better that Cassiopeia isn’t gonna let them go that easily.

After this I think they’ve lowered expectations for Golden Disk so there would be no emotional outburst.

you have to consider that they’re nearing the end of their fifth year as artists. At this stage normally, I don’t think most artists need the validation that awards give and all…but as DBSk keeps mentioning, they were gone for a pretty long time and fame is fickle. And considering that most of their fanbase was really young, it’s not fallacious to assume they’d have drifted away to other groups or just grown out of liking them.

Rather than taking being on top for granted, I think it was the pressure/expectations from the media, SM, themselves and the fact that well (I hate to bring this up) but their contracts are probably up for renewal soon and may be dependent on how successful they continue to be that partly moved Changmin to tears.

But I guess I shouldn’t have insulted your intelligence and replied so seriously to a post clearly aimed at doing nothing more than generate comments xP oops.

DBSK do not need to prove their worth every single time. They’ve already marked their name in music industry for having been one of the most, and arguably THE most, influential boy band of their own time and period to impact all of asia of their time. Just like Seo Taji and H.O.T, they were, for a long time, a leading force of the korean music scene. The fact that they have accomplished so much within five years of their careers is enough for me. Awards shows, charts, or rankings will never change my mind of them because they don’t need these to constantly prove their abilities and talents.

I like seoulbeats at first, but I started not liking it…Starting from Tony An’s article.
Sunbaes and hoobaes have said, DBSK is the most humble top star out there, may it be Japan and most definitely Korea. They never consider themselves as the top boy band. Korea’s most popular artist, they never do. They were worried, they’ve said that they don’t expect the album to sell more than 150K. They don’t know how people will expect them or how their fans will welcome them back. That’s how worried they were, that’s why they paid really close attention to their album, recording it earlier, choosing the songs and etc. They didn’t play around, it’s not as if they just ripped off some music or redid what they did before.
Yunho was close to crying, why? Because they never expect it, they truthfully don’t expect much of themselves, but just do their best to reach their goals. That’s one of the factors why I like DBSK.
and they do not take being on the top for granted. Like what everybody else have said, they were thankful and very relieved to comeback and still have that great foothold.

But…one thing for sure, being a DBSK fan for long, awards are no longer important to me. I don’t know why, I didn’t bother with MKMF. I guess, it’s because more than the awards, it’s them as a group. Continuing to be together and work hard together not thinking about going solo unlike other and reach their goal. They were never satisfied of their performance, of their music, they always think they could have given more, like Beethoven, he was never satisfied creating music until he died, but then he continued creating great music despite the unsatisfactory. But I still do care about Daesang for GDA…lols…
