Donkey Kong JYP will give a special lecture at MIDEMNET music fesival in January. MIDEM is the world’s largest music industry trade fair held in Cannes every year.
He is scheduled to speak alongside bigtime execs from Google, MySpace, Blackberry, and Nokia. He must have used secret banana power to get lumped in with those keynote speakers.
I wonder what he will talk about. How to be fugly and still respected? How to turn a talentless pack of girls who can’t sing or dance into one of the most popular girlgroups in Korea? I bet he’ll conveniently leave out his failed plans for American music market domination and how his American trainee Min has been degraded into a Tila Tequila wannabe.
Still, who knew the Donkey Kong held so much power? He’s turning out to be the evil mastermind I’ve come to expect from him. Banana power goes a long way.

I thought Seoulbeats said they were going to interview JYP weeks ago. Obviously it didn’t happen, but it would be nice if you guys gave an explanation of why it didn’t happen. Maybe it’s just me but I think it’s rude that you didn’t update your loyal readers on the situation with this supposed interview that Mr. JYP agreed to take, especially since you got us involved by having us submit questions.
