Well fan votes only count for 30% on music bank. And digital music charts count for 50% while album charts count for 20%. So cassies and VIPS don’t make the majority of the decision. I’m thinking since Big Bang released Remember about 2 weeks ago they got the digital music and album charts going for them compared to dbsk release 2 months ago.
I’m pretty sure if Big Bang had their release right when dbsk had theirs, there is no question by sheer number of fans and anticipation dbsk would have killed.
But i do like the song off the album, well it seemes that not many people like Big Bangs new more “pop” album but i do.

Bubbles: On music bank the 2 areas that dbsk would have killed wg in was album sales and fans. Those happen to count for the 2 smallest factors. The reason digital sales are so high is because well no one buys albums. And out of nowhere dbsk sold effing 300,000 pre order of the album. If they has counted albums for more which i see why they don’t b/c they’re usually meager numbers it would have made a huge difference. And on top of that if fans count for more than 30% cassies would have been all over it. And anyway big bang’s album is still pretty new compared to dbsk’s. I’m not sure but i don’t see dbsk promoting wrong number as much on shows as much as mirotic.
It all just depends on the way they rate the songs. Like mnet countdown is based usually on popularity. And dbsk took that for 3 weeks the maximun number of time you can win, and they beat WG every time there. I just hate it when people don’t even think of the reason why shows come out different.

1. DBSK don’t do well on Music Bank’s WEEKLY CHARTS because a major portion of the percentage points comes from Digital Sales. But they usually do well on the MONTHLY CHARTS where CD Sales are counted in. That’s what happened last OCTOBER with the WONDERGIRLS. The girls won the Weeklies but lost out on the more important Monthly charts.
2. The reason for the lower digital sales is because Cassies prefer to buy the physical product or CDS rather than download them digitally. That’s why DBSK as per MIAK SEPTEMBER SALES REPORT sold 3070,974 CDS by the end of SEPTEMBER alone-just a few days after the album’s September 26 release. It’s now the HIGHEST SELLING ALBUM in Korea and we’re not even factoring its OCTOBER and NOVEMBER sales.
Erratum: That’s 307,974.

@ummm: I try to listen to your link and it’s an okay performance (i never say they bad on the first place), but Seungri need more time to developed and sorry is not just par with the standard. I prefer them singing hip hop or things like this since they are so energetic on stage but when they sing ballads the member still go flat sometimes (even taeyang).

@ummm: Their performance was pretty good. But it’s when they start dancing and singing at the same time that it goes bad. Taeyang especially, get out of breath very fast(Naman Barabwa). And I do enjoy their performance but often times I never get to watching the perf to the very end cause their perf tend to be too messy and it gives me headache.

Dude, each week there are a set number of artists and songs that appear on Music Bank. DBSK hasn’t even been ON MusicBank, they’re not even in the running against BB (or WG, if you mention the weeks when MIROTIC first came out). They can’t get #1 if they’re not on the show! Big Bang’s doing very well, yes, but dragging something irrelevant into it (such as a so-called “rival” that’s currently MIA) is ridiculous.

dondon is right, DBSK was not part of the Music Bank guest list. Big Bang was competing against WG, Lee Sooyoung, Baek Ji Young, Kim Jong Kook, Rain, Brown Eyed Girls, and the like.
I’m not saying the Big Bang is any more or any less deserving of the title; you just can’t make a comparison when DBSK was not even in the contestants to be voted on.
This all shows one thing. Big Bang’s company is smart. They had to postpone their album release date to avoid competition with DBSK and as according to plan they somehow managed to brainwash Music Bank to let BB win first place.

You can say that this year was Big Bang’s year IN KOREA, this year was DBSK’s year in JAPAN, heck, previous years has been DBSK’s years in both Japan and Korea…Big Bang are only in the limelight now because DBSK weren’t there so people concentrated on them instead while DBSK hit it big in Japan and they will be in the books of history for being the first ever Korean boyband to do that and unless Big Bang can impress down there, they won’t hit it as big…English may be an international language but it’s not what they’re singing in Japan is it? It’s not easy hitting it big in Japan and if you think by singing in English will do it, think again.

huh? Why are we making a fuss over Music Bank’s award? The big award that we should be making a fuss over is the Daesang from Golden Disk Award Show. GDA is the Korean Grammy. It’s the most respected music award show in Korea. MKMF can’t even be compared to GDA. Winning awards from GDA is more important than winning any other awards. It’s the most fair music show. The judges from GDA use very high standards to pick the winners. I can’t wait for the results on Dec. 10th. Whoever wins the GDA Daesang will be very highly respected.
