Song Kye Kyo and Hyunbin’s innocent kiss wasn’t enough to attract an audience last night and it only scored 7.7% on the Nielsen tv ratings. Although drama’s main stars were casted based on their popularity and ability to attract their fans, they failed to convert most drama viewers away from other Monday-Tuesday contenders, “East of Eden” (Song Seung Hun) and “Tazza” (Jang Hyuk).
However, there is hope. Based on reviews, it looks like this drama might become the next mania drama that is strongly loved by its small but passionate fans.

Judging from the screen shots alone, I’m not seeing too much passion between the two actors. Maybe Hyunbin should get rid of that chavvy hat of his?

the kiss was a flashback, and apparently she kissed him by surprise, hence his expression lol (i havent seen the ep yet but thats what i read on dramabeans)

the first episode was really GOOD. i loved the acting and the dynamic between hyunbin and song hyegyo. i can totally see it becoming a mania drama, but hopefully, it’s ratings get better because it’d be a shame for only a small percent of people to see it.
aww… too bad it debuted after Tazza and East of Eden collected huge ratings and numerous fans. I think I’m going to leave East of Eden for awhile to watch this, only because East of Eden has sooo many episodes to go and The World that They Live In has only 16.

hope it’s better than EOE. everything of EOE is so exaggerated. from the plot to the acting.

the rating for the second episode is even worse than the first one.
2nd episode was only 5.8%. What an embarassment.
After all the hoopla that this series would be a hit because of the SHG and HyunBin pairing, it absolutely flopped. I guess fans were counting on these celebs good looks too much thiking that eyecandy=mega ratings.
And please dont even start saying that ratings dont matter because IT DOES. It affects the actors they know how important it is. If they garner good ratings they will also receive good quality script offers for their next projects, they also get an increse in money offers…so many perks and what not.
There’s absolutely NO CHEMISTRY there. They both look so terribly awkward with each other.
