Z-lister SARA, who was poached by the Chinese early this year to endorse a 3D gaming website, has ridden on the China rave wave (in line with the Beijing Olympics) to come out with her second album “I’m SARA”. The bilingual singer, who’s been preparing for the album and establishing her place away from home re-enters the industry with her second Korean/Chinese offering.
During her long absence from the Kpop/Cpop frequency, she was able to get chummy with famous actor Jackie Chan and his son. The self-professed fan of the kung fu star couldn’t be more elated when she was told that she had their full support. That aside, she’s had a handful of good reviews but the hype she’s trying to stir up through her blog hasn’t created much talk.
Don’t be deceived by her gutsy gothic theme for the cover because she’s a force to be reckoned with. You’ve got to give it to her - this girl is fully conversational in Chinese! She also came up with the concept and direction for the whole album. SARA hasn’t got the support of major companies like SM and JYP and she’s going it alone. Maybe if Zhang Li Yin just took a cue from her enthusiasm, these two second language learners could take the entertainment world by storm.

first! yay
the song is nice, her chinese is good. so wait, is she chinese or korean???? good luck to her if she’s going it alone. but i doubt she will get famous without a solid company supporting her. hmm zhang li yin has a nice voice, but haven’t heard from her in a while.
kpop lover - she’s korean
Cute song, good voice AND she’s pretty.
… Plus, I’m liking the fact that she’s got the full support of Jackie Chan and offspring - if all else fails, HE can do something about it. Like, I dunno, stick one of her songs in another one of those movies where he proves he can still beat the pants off anyone.
yaaaaay, she’s fluent in chinese, that’s impressive.
not bad.
she looks like jolin tsai, but a better singer!
she’s pretty good. but what do you mean by she doesn’t have a company? does it mean she’s signed under some independent label? or does she have no label at all? cuz if not, then how would she be able to fund the production costs etc?
Jen Jen - she’s funded on the Chinese side (:
she looks a lot like this korean actress..dunno her name tho. she looks lot better in the mv than in the photo above.
so she’s korean?
well yeah maybe ZLY should, because SM isn’t doing much to her.. btw, where is she?
she’s korean.
when she first broke through the chinese industry, I was kinda like, who is this girl, how come I’ve never heard of her in the kpop scene? like many korean artists, and also Chinese artists like Han Geng (SUJU) and ZLY, she’s being promoted and backed ONLY by this one provincial TV station in China. so whatever popularity she has depends on her own effort.
